New ‘Jobs’ clips hit the web ahead of Friday release

It's been a long road for 'Jobs,' the film about Apple's leader and co-founder starring Ashton Kutcher. We first found out about the movie project back in early 2012, and there's been non-stop reports, photos, trailers and interviews ever since.

But the time has finally come. Jobs is set to open in 2,381 theaters around the world tomorrow, and wouldn't you know it, two new clips from the film have hit the web today. They contain some new footage, so check them out after the fold...

Apple hosting massive iTunes movie bundle sale

Ok movie buffs, listen up. Apple just launched a major iTunes movie bundle sale that would put the $4.99 Blu-Ray tub at Walmart to shame. There's dozens of different bundles available, of various genres, starting at just $9.99.

I myself have already grabbed the Matrix Trilogy for $9.99, as well as Taken 1 and 2 for the same price. There's also the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and the Jurassic Park trilogy, and several other movie sets/bundles to choose from...

RunPee app keeps you regular at the movies

We are in the prime time of summer blockbuster movie season. As we head into the deep of summer, many more movies are headed our way. The worst part about going to the theater is high ticket prices. At a solid $10+ per ticket, make sure you see every important minute of the story, because missing anything is a costly and unfortunate mistake.

The trouble comes when you drank too much of that giant Coke they upsold for $.50 extra to get the grande two-handed version with bottomless refills, that you never really get anyway. In fact, you are using two straws just to make sure you drink it all before the ice waters down the flavor. After watching a solid 15 minutes of previews, you get a sinking feeling. Yes, that's it. Your giant Coke is working its way through your system. Quickly checking your watch, you realize there are at least two hours between you, the movie, and the bathroom.

The sounds of waterfalls and rivers in the last trailer make it difficult to wait, but the movie might start before you can run to the bathroom and back. Rest assured, because you downloaded RunPee before heading to the movies and it's going to tell you when you can head to the john and relieve yourself...

Kutcher on channeling Jobs, loyalty, technology, startups and tweeting troubles

Actor Ashton Kutcher in a recent appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno spoke about passing on an opportunity to meet Apple's late co-founder Steve Jobs, whom he likened to "the Leonardo da Vinci of our generation". As you know, Kutcher channels Jobs in the upcoming bio pic titled jOBS.

And as the studio's promo machine kicked into high gear ahead of the upcoming August release, Kutcher sat down with The Verge editor Joshua Topolsky to share his thoughts on the technology landscape, his portrayal of Apple's co-founder, investing in tech startups, re-tweeting versus RT-ing and lots more...

In emotional interview, Ashton Kutcher reflects on Steve Jobs’ legacy

It seems like the tech world collectively chuckled and rolled its eyes when it found out that Ashton Kutcher—the stoner star from That 70's Show and Hollywood's go-to guy for b-rated romantic comedies—was going to be playing Steve Jobs in a feature film.

But Kutcher has turned more than a few heads with his portrayal of Apple's co-founder in Open Road Films' 'Jobs.' And looking at this clip of his appearance on Jay Leno's Tonight Show from last night, he obviously had tremendous respect for the man...

IMDb app updated with in-app movie ticket purchasing, Amazon Mobile integration and more

Amazon's IMDb app has come a long way in the last 6 months. It received a major UI facelift back in December of last year, and just a few months ago it received another significant update which added global release dates and other new data.

And this morning, it gets even better. The new release, which brings the app to version 3.3, adds a slew of new features including in-app movie ticket purchasing (currently for US users only) Amazon Mobile integration for movie purchases, and more...

Apple accused of pushing users to download HD movies on non-HD devices

With the September 2008 release of iTunes 8, Apple along with introducing a slew of new software features started upgrading resolution of movies and television shows sold on the iTunes Store to high-definition 720p. One Apple user has now taken the company to court over what in his view files as fraud, unjust enrichment and violation of consumer protection laws.

A Florida user took issue with iTunes movie downloads, alleging Apple tricked him into buying a pricier $4.99 high-definition version of the Big Daddy movie although his iPhone 3GS did not support playback of HD content. Claiming he was unaware an SD version was available for $3.99, he argues Apple should compensate the "millions" of owners of older hardware who paid a buck more to download HD versions of movies and TV shows...

Disney’s The Lone Ranger movie tie-in lets you play as Texas Ranger in the Wild West

You, too, can become a legend of justice in Disney's new role-playing game inspired by its new The Lone Ranger feature movie starring Johnny Depp which hits the theatres today. As the title implies, The Lone Ranger puts you in the shoes of a Texas Ranger in the Wild West.

You'll be riding horses, protecting the citizens of Colby, bringing infamous outlaws to justice, facing-off the baddies in showdowns and more.

Graphics certainly look the part and Disney is billing the game as a 3D role-playing adventure so there's more to it than meets the eye. Your trailer and further details are right after the break...

Here’s official promotional poster for Ashton Kutcher’s Jobs movie

With a little over a month until Ashton Kutcher's movie based on Steve Jobs's life, Open Road Films has released a promotional poster for the upcoming flick. The official tagline: "Some see what’s possible, others change what’s possible”.

It shows a close up of Kutcher's character wearing his trademark spectacles, turtleneck and beard. Jobs is pictured against the colorful background in an obvious hint to Apple's early days when the company's logo had psychedelic colors...
