Apple confirms why it released the latest macOS High Sierra update

Apple has now confirmed that the most recent macOS High Sierra update addresses several issues with the 2018 MacBook Pro, which launched in July. Namely, the macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 Supplemental Update 2 resolves crackling audio and kernel panics on the machines, according to MacRumors.

Apple has released macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. The update comes just a few hours after Cupertino launched iOS 11.4.1, HomePod 11.4.1, tvOS 11.4.1, and watchOS 4.3.2.

Apple has released the second betas of iOS 11.4.1, macOS 10.13.6 and tvOS 11.4.1. Registered developers can download the new betas through Apple's developer center, or they can be installed using each platform's respective OTA mechanism.
