Lock screen app launcher, AppSlide, has made its way to the Cydia store this afternoon. As we previously discussed, AppSlider is a jailbreak tweak that allows you to customize your Lock screen with two shortcuts to your favorite apps.

You can launch your favorite apps directly from the Lock screen, and if you have a passcode enabled, AppSlider will respect the passcode before allowing you to launch the app.

You can download AppSlider for free on Cydia's BigBoss repo. Let us know what you think about it.

‘Plugication’ will automatically restart music when headphones are connected

Tweaks like these are the reason why I love jailbreaking so much. Jailbreaking allows you to add obvious features to the iPhone that Apple may have looked over, or purposely omitted.

Plugication is the perfect example of what I'm talking about. It's a jailbreak tweak that forces your music to resume when you plug your headphones back into your device.

AnyVoice — the jailbreak tweak that allows you to fit Siri with nearly 40 different accents from around the world — is now available for download in Cydia.

If you haven't seen our preview of AnyVoice, be sure to check out our preview post located here.

AnyVoice is available for a free from Cydia's ModMyi repo. You will need a jailbroken iOS 5 install with Siri (either legit iPhone 4S Siri or Spire) to take advantage of AnyVoice.

SiriNBA: Get NBA scores directly from Siri

This is a dream come true for sports fans, even if you don't like the NBA. The fact that someone has finally created an addon for AssistantExtensions to allow Siri to query sports scores is a win for sports fans of every type.

This means it's only a matter of time before you can search MLB, NFL, NCAA, and Premier League matches with Siri.

It's called SiriNBA, and it's the very first jailbreak tweak of its type. Check inside for our hands-on video...

‘Currency Converter’ is one of the best looking Notification Center widgets

When traveling abroad, there's just some things that you should do that are just no brainers. One of them is knowing the exchange rate between your native currency, and the currency of the country you're travelling to.

In the old days this used to take a little legwork, i.e. reading the newspaper, going to the post office, etc. With the smartphone boom, though, currency conversion is often right at your fingertips.

As is the case with this new jailbreak widget, entitled Currency Convertor. It's a widget that conveniently sits in iOS 5's Notification Center for easy access...

‘AnyVoice’ lets Siri speak using nearly 40 different accents

Would you like to hear Siri speak in a British voice? Or perhaps you prefer a Thai accent? With AnyVoice, either of these, plus nearly 40 others are available for you to choose from.

AnyVoice is a upcoming jailbreak tweak that allows you to easily customize Siri's accent. Be warned, though, some of the accents are much better sounding than others...

How to make Siri spew useless trivia

What's the longest word that can be typed using a single row of the keyboard? Siri knows.

Awesome Facts for Chatbot/Siri is an AssistantExtensions add-on that turns Siri into a random fact spewing assistant.

‘Calendar Pro’ adds a configurable calendar to Notification Center

Back in October we brought you a walkthrough of Calendar for Notification Center. Needless to say it was so barebones that I don't even believe we made a post about it.

Now the same developer behind Calendar for Notification Center is back, this time with Calendar Pro.

How does Calendar Pro compare to its predecessor? Better yet, will it meet the needs of those who desire a calendar in iOS 5's Notification Center?

Saurik explains why Cydia must reload packages every time it’s opened

Have you ever wondered why Cydia has to perform the 'loading packages' step every time you open it up? Well reddit user indochris609 did, and decided to take his question to the reddit jailbreak forum.

Dozens of users responded to the query, including Cydia's creator, Saurik. And as usual, the hacker/developer's explanation of the topic at hand is both interesting and informative...
