Last month we introduced you to CallTell, a jailbreak application that tells you who's calling before the phone starts ringing. Well, there's a new app available in Cydia that does just this, and a little more.
iCallAnnounce will announce in a human voice the name of the caller you're receiving a call from. Even better, it can also announce the full SMS details (Sender & Text) of an incoming SMS message in real time. How cool is that?
Some of you may already know FastSnap, an application that was previously available on Rock, which was recently migrated to Cydia. FastSnap allows you to easily capture a photo or video inside the camera.app using the volume button of your iPhone.
FastSnap also comes with a few other handy settings. With FastSnap you can also silent the shutter sound when taking a picture. This feature can be enabled from the Settings menu. To quickly launch the default camera app you can also drag your finger over the top Status bar...
If you rotate your iPhone in landscape mode and hit the home button to launch the app switcher, you will notice that apps in the switcher keep their portrait mode orientation. A new jailbreak app called App Switcher Rotator will fix that for you.
App Switcher Rotator rotates the app switcher icons to the current orientation. That's all it does...
PlayAwake is a new jailbreak app available in Cydia that will let you use your iPod music as an alarm clock sound on your iPhone. By default, you are only limited to a few alarm clock sounds on your iPhone. PlayAwake wiill lift this limitation and let you choose any song from your iPod library to wake up to.
Just pick a track from your iPhone's music library from inside the default alarm clock app and you will wake up listening to your favorite song...
There's been a bunch of new jailbreak apps popping up in Cydia within the last 24 hours. The thing is, they're not all that great so instead of giving them full coverage, I thought I'd put them all in one short and convenient list.

LSRotator is a new jailbreak app in Cydia that lets you rotate your iPhone lockscreen. Just like it works on your iPad, this tweak lets your iPhone lockscreen rotate according to your device orientation.
If you liked SBRotator, then this app will be a nice addition and will let you use your iPhone in landscape mode on the lockscreen too...
Wifi Passwords is a new jailbreak application that displays all the wifi passwords you have entered on your iPhone when connecting to secure networks.
Let's say you're at your favorite coffee shop. You brought your iPad for the first time and you don't know the wifi password, but you did enter the password on your iPhone before. Well, instead of asking the password to an employee, just launch Wifi Passwords and find out what the password for this coffee shop network is...
Covert is a new jailbreak application by Chpwn that lets you enable private browsing on Safari. Let's imagine you want to browse those favorite dirty sites of yours but you don't want your girlfriend to snoop in your browser history and realize you've been watching 2 girls and a cup for the 50th time, then Covert is for you.
I certainly hope that's not what you will use Covert for, but at least you get my point. This being said, this is how to use Covert...
It was only a matter of time until such an app showed up in Cydia. Actually, I'm surprised it hadn't been done before. FoldersInFolders is a new jailbreak app that allows you to create folders inside folders on your iPhone.
iOS came with this beautifully implemented Folders feature but unfortunately, it doesn't allow you to add folders inside other folders. This tweak will do the job for you. Video and more info below...
SwitcherMod is a new jailbreak application available in Cydia that supposedly improves the iPhone app switcher. I say "supposedly" because I fail to see the usefulness of this applications.

FolderEnhancer is a jailbreak application by Japanese developer Ashikase that should be available in Cydia soon. This is still a beta project but it seems to be very promising.
According to this video, FolderEnhancer will allow to open folders much faster than Apple's stock folders, and it will also allow us to have multiple pages of icons within a folder. Another interesting feature is that we'll finally be able to add folders insider folders...
I always try to cover the latest jailbreak apps for iPhone here on iDB, and from time to time I stumble onto some real gems. But let's be honest, I don't know everything there is to know about jailbreak apps, and I think I might be missing a few good ones, which is why I'd like to know what your favorite jailbreak app is.
Let's put it this way... if you had to go to a desert island and you could only have one jailbreak app on your iPhone, which one would it be? I know, it's stupid but you get the idea...
