Deck HD is coming to a jailbroken iPad near you

When I took the original version of Deck for a spin, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Here was a tweak that sought to add quick access to your favorite apps, settings, and toggles, and had the nerve to look good while doing so.

Deck also proved to be fairly popular with our readers and viewers, as our original video demonstration gained well over 100,000 views on YouTube.

Since Deck is an iPhone/iPod touch only tweak, what about the iPad users that would love to give SBCoders' hotbar tweak a try? You won't have to feel left out much longer, because Deck HD is coming with full iPad compatibility in tow. Take a gander at our full walkthrough inside for the video proof...

10 jailbreak tweaks we’d like Apple to implement in iOS 6

In less than 24 hours, Tim Cook and company are going to take the stage at WWDC to show off their latest mobile operating system: iOS 6. We know that Maps and other default applications are expected to get makeovers in the new software, but we haven't heard much about other changes.

It's no secret that iOS engineers have used the jailbreak community for "inspiration" in the past — we counted a number of instances of this in last year's iOS 5 update. So we started thinking, if it were up to us, what 10 jailbreak tweaks would we like to see them implement in iOS 6?

And this is what we came up with...

AnimateLockscreen, the highly anticipated jailbreak tweak that allows you to add custom boot logo animations to your iPhone's Lock screen, is now available for download on Cydia.

As noted in our previous walkthrough, AnimateLockscreen has almost 1,000 different boot logo animations at its disposal. If you're interested in trying it out for yourself, then head over to Cydia's BigBoss repo where you can download it now for $1.00. After trying it out, be sure to let us know what you think about it in the comment section below.

10 must have jailbreak tweaks for the new iPad

So you finally got around to jailbreaking your new iPad, and you're wondering which apps and tweaks are the best? Don't worry, iDB has you covered. We've taken the time to test out some of the best tweaks available for the new iPad to ensure that they perform as expected on the latest 5.1.1 firmware.

While many of the items shown here work great on the iPhone, the list was compiled strictly with the new iPad in mind. For that reason, just because you see an item on the list doesn't necessarily mean it'll play 100% nice with an iPhone or iPod touch.

HTCLock lends an HTC styled interface to the iPhone’s Lock screen

The stock iPhone Lock screen leaves a lot of untapped potential on the table, and for that reason it's no surprise that we see so many jailbreak tweaks that focus on modifying the Lock screen.

HTCLock is the latest tweak to focus on the Lock screen. It allows you to launch apps easily using an HTC-styled interface. Check inside for the full video walkthrough...

This upcoming tweak allows you to add an animated Lock screen to your iPhone

AnimateLockscreen is an upcoming jailbreak tweak that allows you to add animation to your iPhone's Lock screen. Because it uses boot logo animations to accomplish the effect, it means that there are almost 1,000 different animations that you can enjoy right out of the box.

If you're looking to add some splash to your iPhone's Lock screen, and a static wallpaper just isn't enough, then AnimateLockscreen is the next logical choice. It should be available soon on Cydia's BigBoss repo, but until then, have a look at our video walkthrough...

ayecon WinterBoard theme released on Cydia

[tube]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrE8qxkG9ik[/tube]

ayecon, the highly anticipated WinterBoard theme from popular iOS theme designer, Surenix, just made its debut on Cydia's BigBoss repo. To take advantage of the theme, you must have a Retina enabled iPhone or iPod touch, and be running iOS 5 or above.

As you no doubt noticed in our hands-on walkthrough, ayecon is a stunner in the looks department. Although I think our video does a good job at displaying the crazy amount of detail possessed by ayecon, it really needs to be witnessed in person to be totally appreciated.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not nearly as into theming my iPhone as I used to be, but ayecon has helped rekindle my interest somewhat. You can purchase it now for $2.99 on Cydia's BigBoss repo. Let us know what you think about it in the comments.

BannerDisable adds a new “Do Not Disturb” option to your iPhone

BannerDisable is a jailbreak tweak that adds a new "Do Not Disturb" toggle switch to the iPhone's settings app. This switch allows you to globally enable or disable banner notifications on the fly, which can be very useful if you're trying to get some rest or take a meeting.

Although it's always been possible to selectively disable or enable notifications for specific apps, BannerDisable excels because it allows you to do so for all apps in one simultaneous motion.

FacebookThis integrates Facebook photo sharing in iOS 5

Don't feel like waiting for iOS 6 for native Facebook integration? Then try FacebookThis on for size.

While it won't give you system-wide Facebook integration at the level that's bound to be present in iOS 6, it will lend you the ability to easily share your photos directly from your Camera Roll. TetherMe Brings Native Tethering to the iPhone

TetherMe is a jailbreak tweak that brings native tethering to the iPhone, even when your carrier normally bars you for. Such activities. According to the app description, it should work for any carrier without the need for customized bundles or preferences.

TetherMe has been tested to work on all iOS versions from 8-14 and works by telling the iPhone to allow tethering on any APN that is used for iPhone data. As a result, you should not be charged extra from your phone company as all tethering data appears to come from the phone itself.

TetherMe also bypasses signature checking and allows you to edit your carrier bundle manually if you so desire. This is required to enable MMS functionality on T-Mobile. TetherMe does NOT enable the loading of APN configurations from .mobileconfig profiles at this time.

This app is different from my favorite jailbreak app MyWi, which allows to turn your iPhone into a wifi hotspot. Instead, TetherMe allows for native tethering as Apple intended it to be, using Bluetooth or USB.

There is no icon for this item. After installation and reboot, you'll be able to turn tethering ON in Settings > General > Network, or install the Tethering Toggle for SBSettings.

Available for $4.99 in Cydia, TetherMe is a great alternative to the more expensive MyWi if you don't want to share your Internet connection with other devices. If however you want to use your iPhone as a hotspot, then MyWy will still be your best bet.
