Looking at the amount of new tweaks released this past week, it seems that there definitely is a slowdown happening. For reference, the last couple weeks had seen 30+ releases, some of them being massive tweaks too.
The last few days have indeed been more quiet, and the Jailbreak Tweaks section on iDB is a testimony of that. But let's not get discouraged. BannerBuddy is a recently released jailbreak tweak that lets iPhone 6 and 6 Plus users lower banner notifications with Reachability. Normally, banner notifications don't move when Reachability is invoked, but with BannerBuddy, invoking Reachability pushes down any currently displaying banner as well.
It is now possible to jailbreak iOS 8.1.2 using a Mac, and this has been confirmed by iDownloadBlog. Up until this point, no Mac option existed for jailbreaking iOS 8.1.2, but that is no longer the case. A new tool entitled PP jailbreak for Mac has surfaced, allowing Mac users to enjoy what Windows users have been enjoying for some time now. After an incredibly prolific amount of releases last week, things seem to have calmed down again in Cydia, with 30 new tweaks released during the last 7 days. Auxo 3 was met with fairly glowing reviews, including ours at iDB. But that's not to say that it wasn't without flaws or opportunities for improvement. A3tweaks has answered the call with Auxo 3 version 1.1, an update that brings a marked increase to the tweak's responsiveness.
Tintch is a brand new jailbreak tweak that lets user colorize the switches and toggles present throughout iOS. Tintch allows users to customize colors for the on and off settings for switches. It uses the libcolorpicker iOS library to present both RGB sliders, a HSB color spectrum, and hexadecimal code entry to select specific colors.
Wallmart is a newly released jailbreak tweak that allows you to cycle through your favorite wallpaper on iOS 8. After installing the tweak, which is downloadable free of charge via Cydia's BigBoss repo, you can set it up to automatically cycle through each wallpaper after a specific interval of time, or cycle with every unlock.
Developer Philip Tennen showed off a new in-progress jailbreak tweak called Sireader that allows Siri to read RSS feeds. The tweak, which is in the early stages of development as a result of a $1,000 bounty on Reddit, looks extremely promising for those of us that peruse RSS on a daily basis. Imagine driving in the car and having Siri read the latest stories from your favorite news feed. If Tennen's jailbreak tweak sees the light of day, this will be a future reality for jailbreakers.
