So what's so special about Sky Gamblers? Well besides being one of the first apps to take advantage of the iPad's new features, its developers are saying that the game delivers "console quality single and multiplayer experiences."

Wondering who won the big game? Let Siri tell you with SiriSports

Sure, Apple may have released Siri without all of the functionality that we'd like. But luckily, for those of us who are jailbroken, Cydia has a plethora of tweaks and add-ons available that make the digital assistant much more capable.

Such is the case with SiriSports. The new tweak, developed by Evan Coleman, adds the ability to look up sport scores and game times for your favorite professional team in the MLB, NBA, and NHL using Siri-flavored voice commands...

Did Verizon’s CTO just confirm LTE for the next iPhone?

The theory that Apple's next handset is going to feature an LTE radio has been tossed about for several months now. In fact, a lot of folks expected the wireless technology to make its way into last year's iPhone. But obviously that never materialized.

This year, however, it's almost a given that Apple's new smartphone will ship with LTE compatibility. After all, it's new tablet did. But just in case you had any doubts, just read these recent comments made by Verizon Wireless CTO David Small...

Apple subpoenaed by the FTC regarding its search engine deal with Google

So this is pretty interesting: AllThingsD is reporting that Apple has been subpoenaed by the Federal Trade Commission as part of an ongoing anti-trust investigation into Google's business practices.

It seems the FTC is particularly interested in the agreement Google made with Apple to become the default search engine in iOS. The deal, which we talked about a few days ago, is rumored to be worth more than a billion dollars...

T-Mobile 4G network will be compatible with the iPhone

In a blog post published today, T-Mobile CTO confirms what we already heard last month: the company is working hard on upgrading its network to fully support the iPhone:

A nice side benefit of the refarming effort is that our 4G network will be compatible with a broader range of devices, including the iPhone. The other important benefit of our network modernization effort is the coverage improvements it will deliver, especially when it comes to in-home coverage.

It would sure be a welcome gesture for the one million T-Mobile customers who currently have to use their iPhone at 2G speeds.

Jony Ive explains some of the secrets to Apple’s sauce

Jonathan Ive has made quite a name for himself over the past few years. And for good reason too. Apple's SVP of industrial design is largely responsible for creating the look and feel of several popular products, including the iPod and the iPhone.

The London-born designer has a reputation for being fairly quiet, and rarely does media interviews. So you can imagine our surprise when we found out that Mr. Ive recently opened up to the London Evening Standard about a broad range of topics...

Shocker: next iPhone expected to launch later this year with LTE

BGR passes along a report from DigiTimes this morning which claims that Apple is planning to launch a new iPhone later this year equipped with LTE technology. You don't say?

Well, considering that Apple has released a new iPhone every year for the past 5 years, it's safe to assume that we'll see another one in 2012. And given the fact that the company's latest tablet contains LTE, it's not hard to fathom that its next handset will too...

And you thought iOS 5.1's new Lock screen camera was fast? FastCam is an upcoming jailbreak tweak that allows you to access your iPhone's camera API using a simple Activator action.

The nice thing about FastCam is that it works anywhere, even at the Lock screen. In fact, it's faster than the Lock screen camera feature found on iOS 5, and still faster after the improvements made with iOS 5.1.

Here we go again: iOS users struggling with DST switchover

If you live in a part of the world which required a change to the clocks this weekend, then it may be worth checking all is well with your iOS devices because, according to isolated reports, some are once again struggling to behave as expected during the switchover.

We've been here plenty of times before, so we really shouldn't be surprised. Even so, Apple's inability to make something so simple work reliably is something we just can't help but marvel at.

They can cram more pixels into a 10-inch tablet than we care to count, but ask Apple to make a phone do something that computers have been doing for years and it apparently gets stumped...

Springround is an upcoming jailbreak tweak that will allow you to access your iPhone's Home screen app icons from anywhere.
