In addition to today's major releases of iOS 9.1, OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 and watchOS 2.0.1 software updates, it appears that iCloud has gained a brand new web app: Find My Friends.
With both Find My iPhone and Find My Friends now preloaded on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad devices with iOS 9.0 or later, it does make sense to add Find My Friends to Apple's stable of web apps given iCloud's long had the web version of the Find My iPhone app.

Despite an earlier report coming from Reddit that Apple's new iCloud Storage pricing would go live on September 25th, the same day of the iPhone 6s launch, Apple has launched its updated iCloud storage pricing plans today.
In my opinion, this makes more sense, as iCloud is more aligned with the software, and iOS 9 just went live as well. Apple has updated its iCloud storage pricing page with the updated prices for its three cloud storage tiers, and has also introduced new international pricing for iCloud storage.

Apple quietly added on Thursday a new feature to iCloud.com that lets you restore deleted files, contacts, calendars, and reminders. Available from the Settings tab of iCloud.com, this feature archives your deleted iCloud files for 30 days, as well as versions of your contacts, calendars, and reminders at various intervals, making it an easy back up plan in case something goes wrong.
In what's become a norm for the company these days, another outage has hit a number of cloud-based services as users around the world report issues accessing Apple's content stores: the App Store, the Mac App Store and the iTunes Store.

UPDATE 1: Apple has now acknowledged the outage on the iCloud status page. “Users are experiencing a problem with the services listed above,” reads the notice. “We are investigating and will update the status as more information becomes available.”
UPDATE 2: The iCloud dashboard says all services have been restored after three and a half hours of downtime.
Due to the ongoing financial turmoil in Greece which has spawned uncertainty over the country's seemingly looming bankruptcy, Apple has decided not to charge its Greek customers for their iCloud storage for a month, local blog iPhoneHellas reported this weekend.
After Greece's creditors prompted the government to implement capital controls in the country, customers grew worried that they would lose access to their iCloud data such as photos, contacts and more as iTunes would not be able to charge their credit cards for paid cloud storage.
“Our sympathies are with our customers in Greece who have experienced an interruption in their iCloud accounts as a results of the fiscal crisis,” an Apple representative told CNBC.
A cross application resource attack (XARA) that researchers at Indiana University, Georgia Tech and China’s Peking University publicized last week seems to have been partially addressed as Apple issued a server-side fix on the Mac App Store to block malicious apps and secure app data.
Additional fixes are in the works for the XARA exploits on both iOS and OS X, a company spokesperson told iMore. XARA exploits allow malicious apps to steal iCloud credentials of a user, access private data in apps like 1Password and Evernote, hijack their iCloud Keychain passwords and more.
When I was testing out Apple's iCloud Family Sharing last year, I set up a child account just to see how it worked. That turned out to be a mistake, because there is no way for an end user to remove a child account from a Family Share.
When you try to delete a child account, you're met with a frustrating error that states "Children under 13 cannot be removed from Family Sharing". Actually, you can "remove" a child account by transferring it to another family, but you're still not permanently getting rid of it.
So what should you do? Keep an account that you no longer want or need? Transfer the account? Don't settle for those options if you want the account gone. Phone up Apple support, and they can delete the annoying child account in a matter of minutes.
