Instagram's meteoric rise to the home screens of so many iPhone users has been a sight to behold, but with the app being iOS-only and no Android release imminent, what can the darling of the App Store do to keep things fresh?

According to Instagram's CEO, Kevin Systrom, we may soon be sharing more than just photos using the service, with a video feature possibly coming at some point in the future...

Firebreak: An Easier Way to Enable Panorama Camera Mode in iOS 5

Not five minutes after we posted the plist hack method for enabling panorama mode in iOS 5, the promised jailbreak tweak that does the same thing hit Cydia.

The tweak is titled 'Firebreak' in reference to the plist value, and it's much simpler to use than editing a plist value via iFile.

If you want to use iOS 5's hidden panoramic camera, then this is the definitive way to enable it...

How to Enable Panorama Mode in iOS 5 [Video]

We've created an easy-to-follow video tutorial that shows you how to add the hidden panorama mode to iOS 5's Camera app.

Hidden Panorama Mode Uncovered in the iOS Camera

Developer and hacker conradev has uncovered a hidden panorama mode in the iOS Camera app. By changing a key value in the iOS SDK, a Panorama mode is unlocked in the Camera app that lets iPhone users capture a panorama image by snapping photos continually from left to right.

While it's unclear as to why this feature is hidden in iOS, it can only be assumed that Apple will eventually release it to the public in due time.

Sync Photos and Video Between iDevices With PhotoSync

While Apple's Photo Stream is a great way of getting photos to sync across multiple devices, there's one glaring problem. Photo Stream doesn't support video, presumably because Apple doesn't want its servers full of hours and hours of 1080p videos showing cats sleeping.

It makes sense from a technical standpoint, but that doesn't help you if you need to get a video from one device to another. There's syncing with iTunes, and doing the iPhoto jig in the hope that everything works as planned, but it's a pain, and not always practical.

That's where PhotoSync comes in...

ZoomIsBack! Brings Tap-to-Zoom Back to the Camera App

Missing iOS 4's double tap to zoom feature? If so, ZoomIsBack! is the jailbreak tweak you've been needing.

As its name not-so-subtly implies, ZoomIsBack! regurgitates the zoom present in iOS 4 — a feature that was ditched in favor of pinch-to-zoom in iOS 5.

The good news is that once you install ZoomIsBack, both zooming methods work. Check inside for a video walkthrough of the tweak in action...

How the iPhone’s Camera Has Improved Over the Years

The new 8MP camera in the iPhone 4S is one of the handset's standout features. Other than Siri, the improved camera is likely the biggest motivator for folks to upgrade to Apple's latest smartphone.

But iPhones haven't always sported class-leading camera hardware — it's come a long way in 4 years. Gizmodo demonstrates this with a side-by-side comparison of photos taken with each of the 5 iPhone models...

Some Scenes From “The Avengers” Movie Were Shot with an iPhone

If you're the kind of iPhone user that reads blogs about, well, iPhones, then the chances are you also fall into the category some like to call "geek." It's no longer a derogatory term; being a geek means you tend to like things like smartphones, computers, and comics.

If all that sounds like you, then chances are you'll like this latest tidbit to come out of Hollywood. It turns out that the upcoming Avengers movie was partly filmed on one of Apple's little iPhones, instead of the rather expensive cameras movie studios usually use.

How cool is that? Very, very cool indeed...

iPhone 4S vs iPhone 4 [Video]

Which is faster? Well, obviously the iPhone 4S is faster, but you might be surprised at just how much faster.

In certain areas, namely gaming, the iPhone 4S blows the iPhone 4 out of the water. In other areas, the differences are surprisingly less discernable.

We've pitted the former heavyweight champ against the newcomer, and we've documented the results on video. Who wins? Watch and see...

Pro Tip: How to Delete Photos from Photo Stream

One of my favorite features of iCloud has to be Photo Stream. My previous methods of wirelessly sharing photos between my iDevices and my computer involved emailing or using DropBox. Photo Stream eliminates all the extra work.

Much like the other components of iCloud, the automatic photo syncing service works great. But what do you do if you want to delete the photos from the Photo Stream? Don't worry, iDB has you covered. Hit the jump for our step by step guide...

iPhone 4S 1080p Video Test

One of the biggest reasons to upgrade to the iPhone 4S from the iPhone 4, is for the upgraded camera.

While the iPhone 4 had a good camera, the iPhone 4S has a great camera. In fact, you might consider it so good that you decide to permanently ditch your dedicated point and shoot.

Regarding the camera, Apple has improved snapshooting, but they've also highly improved the phone's video capturing capabilities as well.

Check inside for my first test with the iPhone 4S' 1080p video capture...
