Titled ‘Make a film with iPad,’ the 30-second spot is narrated by director Martin Scorsese, widely regarded as one of the most significant and influential filmmakers in cinema history.

Unsurprisingly, the Oscars ad has been shot entirely on the iPad Air 2. The video closes with the ‘Everything changes with iPad’ tagline that was also used in Apple's previous iPad commercial, aired on the day of the Grammy Awards, which highlights how tablet can be used as a music-creation tool.

Although the company provided no explanation for the move, the writing has been on the wall ever since the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were released last fall, with Virgin offering limited-to-no iPhone stock and treating would-be shoppers to an “out of stock” message.

New Apple Store in China has a free-floating second floor

On the surface, Apple's new store in Hangzhou, China doesn't look a lot different from other Apple Stores around the world - there's plenty of glass to be found and wooden tables that house plenty of Apple products. However at a closer glance, the latest Apple Store designed by Foster + Partners is quite an architectural feat.

Electric car battery maker suing Apple for poaching critical employees

Electric car battery maker A123 Systems filed a lawsuit against Apple earlier this month for poaching its employees, reports Law360. The company says the Cupertino firm began an "aggressive campaign" around June of last year to recruit some of its most critical staffers for a new large-scale battery division.

This directly violates the company's noncompete and nondisclosure agreements, says A123 Systems, and the poaching has resulted in a substantial loss of investment and left them scrambling to find replacements. It's asking the court for undisclosed damages and a 1-year order, barring them from moving.
