Now bumped to version 5.10, Yahoo Fantasy Football, Baseball, Basketball, and Hockey (that's the full app name) now serves an all-new news stream on the iPad, with shareable articles keeping you in the loop on the latest in the world of football, baseball, basketball and hockey.

The software allows you to manage your fantasy roster and make trades, draft your team, participate in mock drafts, get breaking player news based on your team with instant scoring updates, set your lineup with expert analysis from Rotoworld and Yahoo fantasy experts and more...

Vimeo app updated with new uploading, private sharing options

Vimeo users will be happy to hear that the video site has rolled out a new build of its iOS client. The update brings the app to version 4.2, and it brings about new video upload and private sharing options, as well as new find and follow features.

With Vimeo 4.2 on iPhone and iPad, you can now upload videos from your device’s Camera Roll, straight to Vimeo from within the app. You can also now share videos with people you follow on Vimeo privately, so they won’t show up in your feed…

Mailbox updated with new spam options, Passbook support and more

Mailbox has updated its popular iOS email client this afternoon, bringing the app to version 2.1. The update is fairly significant, as it adds new spam options, Passbook support, and support for several new languages.

With 2.1, it's now possible to print your emails, mark them as spam or unread, and favorite them by clicking on the three little dots at the top of a thread view. You can also now add items directly to the Passbook app...

Uber mobile apps gain turn-by-turn navigation and destination entry features

Uber, the popular venture-backed ride-sharing service, today announced a pair of useful new additions to its strong arsenal of mobile features, aimed at both drivers and users.

Uber customers can now add a desired destination into the free rider app that the driver will see at pick-up time.

Dispatch, the popular TextExpander-enabled, action-based email client for the iPhone and iPod touch, has received a major update adding nearly a dozen new features and ten new actions for your emails while fixing a ton of bugs.

Newly updated Facebook for iOS cuts crash rate in half

Facebook late today issued a maintenance update to its primary iPhone and iPad client.

Listing only "bug fixes", Facebook 13.1 would have probably slipped by unnoticed if it weren't for a post over at the official Facebook Engineering blog which has detailed significant under-the-hood changes to fix a longstanding bug that caused unexpected crashes.

Long story short, code changes the team's implemented have helped reduce the software's crash rates on the iPhone and iPad by more than fifty percent...

BBM updated with revamped UI for adding contacts

Today, BlackBerry pushed an update to its BBM for iPhone application (also known as BlackBerry Messenger) featuring an all-new contact-adding experience.

In addition to the obligatory bug fixes and performance improvements, BBM version 2.3.0.12 makes it easier to add new contacts by PIN, email, SMS and barcode.

Among other new features, the revamped software also permits you to search for BBM users, as well as review and accept invites from other people using the cross-platform messaging service...

Amazon posted a nice little update for its Instant Video app this weekend, bringing the client to version 2.8. The update includes a couple of new features and bug fixes that make searching for and watching content in the application much more enjoyable.

One of the new features has to do with video playback, and it enables you to quickly resume videos you've recently started from the app's home screen. You can also now quickly find content you've previously searched for with the new search history feature...

Fantastical 2 for iPad gains Dolphin browser integration, list/reminder improvements and more

Flexibits has issued an update to its Fantastical for iPad today, bringing our a few new useful features and enhancements.

In addition to half a dozen bug fixes and various other fixes and improvements, Fantastical 2.1.1 includes support for Dolphin Browser [free download] and comes with improvements to the app's handling of lists and reminders.
