Although the Halloween event might be over for Pokémon GO players, a new server-side update for the game is rolling out to all players that aims to invoke a resurgence in the game’s popularity.
Any time Apple uses specific images to highlight their new products, we scramble to find copies. For example, go ahead and grab our iPhone 7 marketing wallpapers, from the Apple website. In addition, Apple used what appears to be amorphous droplets in a variety of colors to highlight the iPhone 7, but neglected to put them in the iOS 10 GM.
Thankfully, with the release of iOS 10.2 beta 1, the wallpapers are now included. If you do not have a dev account and the latest beta, you will be waiting for the images. Additionally, these wallpapers appear to be available only for iPhone 7, so this might be your only chance to get your hands on them if you don't have the latest device.
At the end of last week, a demo video surfaced on Reddit revealing what appeared to be an iPhone 7 running iOS 10.1 that was jailbroken.
There was a lot of skepticism surrounding its legitimacy, but now the established iOS hacker Luca Todesco is sharing photographic evidence of his own iPhone 7 jailbroken on iOS 10.1.1 via Twitter.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is predicting iPhone sales will drop in the first quarter of 2017 because he is not expecting a refreshed iPhone SE model that could perhaps reinvigorate demand during the slow post-holiday quarter.
Kuo's note to investors Friday says Apple's been putting pressure on component makers to reduce prices in order to protect its high gross margins that are the envy of the industry.

RoundedSwitchr is a new free jailbreak tweak that lets you add rounded corners to the multitasking cards in your iPhone or iPad's App Switcher.
The tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings app where you can control the corner roundness radius. The default is 10.0, but our screenshot above is pretty close to the 30.0 mark. You can set this radius amount as low as 0.0 or as high as 100.0.
India’s premier forensic institute The Forensic Science Laboratory is buying Cellebrite's tech that enables it to bypass locked iPhones, reports The Economic Times. The Israeli company made headlines earlier this year when it was reportedly sought out by the FBI to help it access the locked San Bernardino iPhone.
It's unclear how much the FSL is paying for the technology, or what the deal will mean for other countries and organizations. The Times, however, has a quote from an FSL source saying they believe the move will make it the global go-to place for law enforcement agencies seeking to unlock highsecurity devices.
In addition to discounting USB-C adapters and peripherals, it appears Apple is also offering 25% off the new 4K and 5K LG displays for a limited time. On the company's website, you can see that both models have seen significant reductions in price with a "special pricing" note.
Apple on Friday announced that it would be temporarily cutting the prices on USB-C adapters and peripherals it sells in its stores. In a statement sent to several publications, the company said that it recognizes many users still rely on legacy connectors to get work done, and it wants to help them move to the latest technology.
