Best Buy Will Have the Verizon iPhone at Launch

There had been rumors within the past few weeks that Best Buy would carry the Verizon iPhone 4 on its launch on February 10, but up until now, these were just wild speculations. Today, Best Buy confirmed that the company will indeed be selling the Verizon iPhone 4, on the first day it is available to the general public.

The 2 iPhone models will sell for the same price as AT&T's iPhone: $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB model. Below is the full press release from Best Buy...

CameraWallpaper, a New App to Use Your Camera as Your iPhone Wallpaper

CameraWallpaper is a new tweak available in Cydia that lets you use the camera of your iPhone as your wallpaper, meaning that anything your camera sees will be displayed as your wallpaper.

As soon as you are on your iPhone springboard, you will see whatever is in front of your camera as a wallpaper. Thanks to an intuitive Activator integration, you will also be able to snap a picture at any time and use this picture as your wallpaper.

Verizon iPhone 4 Available for Pre-Order Tomorrow

According to a Press Release from Apple, all existing Verizon customer will be able to pre-order an iPhone 4 tomorrow from Apple or Verizon's website to be picked up or delivered beginning on the 10th of the month.

"Beginning on Wednesday, February 9, all qualified customers will be able to order an iPhone 4 on Verizon through the Apple Store (www.apple.com) for delivery or reserve for in-store pick up beginning February 10.

Beginning at 7 a.m. local time on Thursday, February 10, iPhone 4 on Verizon will be available to all qualified customers at Apple’s retail stores. iPhone 4 will also be available at more than 2,000 Verizon Wireless Communication Stores nationwide."

Woz Talks About the White iPhone 4

A couple of days ago, Alex wrote a post about Apple's co-founder Steve Wozniak who had gone on record saying that the white iPhone 4 would be available soon. Oops, he did it again by confirming yet again to Engadget that the white iPhone 4 will be available in a short period of time.

The video below shows Woz dropping the white bomb on Engadget TV. I love the reason why he carries two iPhones with him all the time (to solve the battery problem). It's definitely worth a watch. Woz is the kind of guy you just want to listen to for hours. That's how I feel anyway...

In Your Face, Verizon! AT&T Emails Customers About How Awesome the iPhone is on Their Network

Yeah, it's on. Let the cat fight begin! Now that Verizon is getting the iPhone, Apple is trying to downplay the differences between the 2 carriers with sweet commercials reminding us that the network doesn't matter. But because Apple is playing nice doesn't mean the 2 carriers have to play nice.

Today AT&T sent emails to some of their customers with the subject line "Feel free to make a call while reading this email". The email goes on saying that "only AT&T's network lets you talk and surf the web at the same time on your iPhone"...

AT&T Sued for Overcharging iPhone and iPad Owners

A lawsuit was filed in California against AT&T on the grounds that the company overcharges its iPhone and iPad customers by inflating the amount of data used and by adding "phantom traffic".

The plaintiff's attorney hired a firm to track his data usage. Their findings were quite astounding. The research firm found out that AT&T overstated incoming data by 7 to 14% in what they called "a rigged gas pump that charges for a full gallon when it pumps only nine-tenths of a gallon into your car's tank"...

Apple Releases iOS 4.3 Beta 3 to Developers

Just about 2 weeks after releasing iOS 4.3 beta 2, Apple dropped iOS 4.3 beta 3 today to developers. This pre-release version of iOS 4.3 is for iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS, iPad, iPod Touch 3G and 4G, and the Apple TV.

Of course, you have to be a developer to be able to download iOS 4.3 beta 3 from Apple's website. At this point, we don't know if any major new feature was added to this beta release, but we shall find out soon.

Apple Releases iOS 4.3 Beta 2

Apple just released iOS 4.3 beta 2 to developers. If you're a developer, hop over to the iOS Dev Center and download a copy of this pre-version of iOS 4.3 for the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, or Apple TV.

I guess we'll find out relatively quickly if iOS 4.3 beta 2 brings anything new to the table from the first beta release.
