The Facebook app for iOS just got an update. We usually don't post about app updates, but as the most popular iPhone app, I felt like we had to let you guys know.
As usual, this update contains a bunch of bug fixes that caused the app to crash. Additionally, this update restored the Send button for comments, chat, and messages. It also restored the friend lists to the News Feed filter...
Do you live in Azerbaijan, Brunei, or Uzbekistan and have you been wanting to download apps from the App Store? Now is your time to rejoice, because Apple just opened the App Store to 33 more countries, and yours is one of those.
With the expansion of the App Store to 33 new territories, Apple is widening its market a little more. New countries include:
Along with the release of iOS 5 beta 4, Apple has also released iTunes 10.5 Beta 4. For some reason, everytime I connect my iPad 2 running iOS 5 Beta 3, I get an error message telling me that my iPad couldn't be synced with this version of iTunes because its software is too old.
What do you mean by "too old," iTunes? This iOS version is not even 2 weeks old. Maybe it just wants me to do an OTA update, but this is also a problem as it appears my iOS Beta 4 OTA download got stuck (and I'm not the only one having this issue)...
iSHSHit, the tool that lets you save, upload and email your SHSH blobs directly from your iPhone, has been updated to bring support for iOS 4.3.4 and iOS 4.2.9.
The purpose of iSHSHit is the same as TinyUmbrella, except that it doesn't require to be connected to a computer in order to save your SHSH blobs. Simply launch the application, select what SHSH blobs you want to backup, and iSHSHit will do the job for you...
I know many of you iDB readers are die hard fans of the new royal couple, William and Catherine, so I thought this would be the perfect fit for you. If you have $38,000 to spare on a new iPhone, you might be interested in this Royal iPhone 4, a majestic - yet uber tacky - iPhone made of platinum, diamonds, and sapphires.
Who in his right state of mind would spend $38,000 on an iPhone 4 when the iPhone 5 is right around the corner? Probably someone with bad taste and lots of cash...
It's been a while since we had a giveaway. This giveaway comes to you compliments of the folks at Emvy Case who sent me one of their iPhone 4 power battery cases a while ago. Instead of having it sit on the corner of my desk, I figured we might as well give it away to one lucky iDB reader.
We're going to make it easy for you to enter and win this case. We'll simply ask 2 things from you...
Following the release of Mac OS X Lion earlier today, Apple pushed an update to iTunes as well by bringing it to version 10.4. iTunes 10.4 was designed to work well with Lion. Among a few bug fixes, iTunes 10.4 gets full-screen mode support with Lion.
I tested iTunes 10.4 with my jailbroken and unlocked iPhone and I can report that it is safe. So, if you have Lion and see an iTunes update, don't be scared, you won't lose your jailbreak...
After weeks of anticipation, Mac OS X Lion, Apple's latest and most advanced operating system, is now available for download, directly from the Mac App Store.
With over 250 new features, but most importantly a price tag of only $29.99, Lion is sure to be a hit. At 3.5 GB, this isn't your typical download, either. I've been downloading it for a while, and the progress bar has barely moved so far...
The folks at ZAGG just notified me that they were running a massive sale on the Sparq, a portable battery charger for your iPhone, iPad, and virtually any other device. I reviewed the Sparq a few months ago, and the only downside I could find at the time was its price tag.
Well, this shouldn't be much of an issue anymore as you can now get 50% off your Sparq purchase. Simply click on this link and enter the coupon code "drewsparq" at checkout. It will deduct about $50 from your purchase...

A couple days after making TinyUmbrella compatible with iOS 5 Beta 3, and following the release of iOS 4.3.4, Notcom has updated his tool yet again, this time to allow you to save your iOS 4.3.4 SHSH blobs.
Because you'd better be safe than sorry, we highly suggest you download the latest version and save those blobs. In case you don't know what we're talking about here, feel free to peruse our SHSH guide, as well as our tutorial on how to save your SHSH blobs...
