‘AnimateBattery’ Adds a Little Spice to Your iPhone’s Lock Screen While Charging

AnimateBattery is a neat little jailbreak tweak that -- as its name states -- animates the battery on your lock screen while your iPhone is charging.

This is the forth TweakWeek entry in the series by developer Elias Limneos, who has in my opinion, some of the better tweaks that TweakWeek has seen thus far.

Check inside for the full video details regarding the ins and outs of this free download from Cydia...

Manually Arrange the Icons in Your Status Bar With ‘ArrangeStatusBar’

TweakWeek seems to have hit a certain stride under Elias Limneos. The prolific developer of this week's TweakWeek entries is back at it again with something original, something that I think you're definitely going to like.

This latest tweak is called ArrangeStatusBar, and it allows you to use a finger and manually arrange the icons residing in your iPhone's status bar.

Needless to say, I'm thoroughly impressed with its accuracy and abundance of cool factor oozing from this tweak...

Are Suppliers Beginning to Prepare Materials for the Next iPhone and iPad?

According to a report published this morning by DigiTimes, Apple's suppliers are being told to start preparing materials in order to initiate production of two of their most popular products -- the iPhone, and the iPad.

While it's obvious that after breaking their normal summer release schedule we'll see a new iPhone this fall, the iPad 3 news is interesting to say the least.

Another interesting point of note included in the report, is that Apple will only release one new iPhone instead of the rumored two....

How to Get Free Visual Voicemail on T-Mobile Using ‘YouMail’

Once upon a time I unlocked my iPhone 3GS and used it on T-Mobile in order avoid AT&T's more expensive service.

It was a decent experience, but two noteworthy flaws marred it. Number one; I obviously had no 3G-network access since the iPhone doesn't contain the circuitry needed to piggyback T-Mobile's 3G network. Number two; I had no access to Visual Voicemail.

Of course there's no way to fix problem number one, that's an inherent issue regarding hardware. Problem number two, though, is fixable.

In this video tutorial, I'll show you how to use the jailbroken version of YouMail to get real visual voicemail on your iPhone for free...

‘GrayPix’ Takes the Color Out of Your iPhone’s Camera Roll

Been itching for a quick and easy way to convert the photos in your camera roll to black and white? If so, then GrayPix might be the jailbreak tweak that cures what ails you.

A TweakWeek tweak that features no settings or app installations, GrayPix places a convenient 'Convert to Grayscale' button into your camera roll's list of sharing options.

From there, it's just a matter of tapping the button and letting GrayPix do the rest...

Upcoming Jailbreak App Allows You to Run Multiple iPhone Apps on Your iPad’s Screen Simultaneously

Don't you just hate running iPhone-only apps on your large iPad screen? When you enlarge them they look all pixelated and ugly, but when you keep them at normal size, much of the iPad's screen goes to waste.

Your disdain for iPhone-only apps might soon change if this jailbreak app in development ever sees the light of day.

We're assuming the tentative name of the app is Polyonix judging from the screenshot, and it allows you to run multiple iPhone apps on your iPad's screen at the same time...

‘SpringBoard Invaders’ Brings Arcade Fun Right to Your iPhone’s SpringBoard

iOS might be the mobile platform to beat when it comes to gaming, but you'd be hard pressed to find me something as unique as SpringBoard Invaders on the platform.

As its name implies, SpringBoard Invaders brings a Space Invaders inspired arcade game right to your iPhone's SpringBoard.

That means that there's no need to even launch an app in order to play it; all you do is swipe to the last screen on your iPhone, and let the games begin...

‘NewContact’ Allows You to Add Contacts Using Activator Gestures

Do you always find yourself moseying into the Contacts app to add new friends, family, and acquaintances?

Doing so can be somewhat of a clunky affair, especially if you need to do so while in a hurry.

NewContact is a jailbreak tweak available on Cydia that takes some of the thought process out of adding new contacts to your iPhone's address book...

‘Ergo HD’ DreamBoard Theme Aims to Innovate With Ergonomic Dual Hand Navigation

Today we're going to talk about something a little different in the theming universe. I'd like to introduce to you a DreamBoard theme called ErgoHD.

Now this isn't your typical iPhone theme for a number of reasons, and the first reason of course being that it's a DreamBoard theme and not your run of the mill WinterBoard affair.

Secondly, Ergo HD is aiming primarily at the non-ambidextrous demographic, seeing as its main selling point is being able to use it comfortably with either hand.

Sound interesting? Then check out this video walkthrough of Ergo HD...

‘WebLeaps’ Adds Custom Search Shortcuts to Spotlight and Safari

WebLeaps seems to be one of those tweaks that fell through the cracks. I'd honestly never heard of this tweak before Sebastien mentioned it to me, but I'm glad that he did.

That's because WebLeaps allows you to easily navigate some of the web's best sites by means of custom search shortcuts.

You can even create your own custom search shortcuts with a bit of plist editing know-how.

Check inside as I go one-on-one with WebLeaps. I even create my own custom iDB search shortcut...

How to Backup and Restore SMS Messages Using PKGBackup [Video Tutorial]

One of the most frustrating things that I've encountered with the iPhone, is doing backups and restores. Now admittedly, most people are okay with this, they just backup their iPhone with iTunes and restore with whenever necessary.

I like to take the backup and restore process a bit more seriously. For instance, I've actually created a starting point "stock" iTunes backup with all of my favorite apps, settings, mail accounts, etc.

Secondly, I have a separate backup for all of my jailbreak apps, tweaks, and settings. For this, I use PKGBackup.

I've found that the combination of the iTunes backup coupled with PKGBackup makes for a quick, and painless restore back to my favorite settings.

There's one problem with this methodology though; it doesn't backup all of my SMS messages...

‘BatteryShower’ Gives You More Lock Screen Battery Options

Is it show-er, or shower? I think I'll stick with shower since that's more fun to say.

Naming discrepancies aside, BatteryShower is an iPhone jailbreak tweak that is basically an extension of a previous tweak we touched on called 'ASB'.

ASB allows you to always show the battery icon on your lock screen, regardless of whether or not you have it connected to a power source.

BatteryShower takes this formula, and remixes it so to speak by also allowing you to never show the battery as well...
