We recently told you about Amazon's upcoming consumer tablet that's set to release later this year. The rumored device is expected to be a revolutionary upgrade to the current Kindle, and it will most likely be marketed to compete directly with Apple's iPad.

Amazon has its own music, movies, books, and online retail infrastructure to go head-to-head with Apple, but what it apparently won't have is similar multi-touch support. While the iPad's touchscreen display supports 10-finger gestures, Amazon's tablet will only support 2-finger gestures...

iOS 5 Beta 4 Will Expire on August 31

Apple released iOS 5 Beta 4 this past Friday, and there have already been numerous findings uncovered in Apple's lasest build. With an iOS 5 announcement set to happen in September, we're getting closer and closer to a final GM release of iOS 5 before it hits the public.

According to jailbreak hacker iH8sn0w, iOS 5 Beta 4 is set to expire on August 31. That gives Apple a little over a month to release the next iOS 5 beta.

Apple Removes 3G iPod Touch Clue From Its Website, Slipup or Something More? [Updated]

This morning we told you about an interesting clue on Apple's website that hinted at a future iPod touch equipped with 3G data connectivity. An iPod touch with a 3G signal indicator in the status bar was displayed on Apple's own website, and we thought that it was maybe just an honest mistake by someone in Apple's web design department.

Apple apparently got word of this slipup, too, and they've just replaced the very same graphic with a Wi-Fi-only iPod touch!

A new prototype case for the alleged iPhone 5 has leaked via a Chinese accessory manufacturer working in conjunction with Foxconn. This case design comes from MobileFun, a UK-based site that claims to have received this information through its supply chain sources overseas.
