It’s the weekend again people — we did it! That means it’s time for another Apps of the Week roundup. This week we have an app that wants to help you make money, a mental health tracker, and a new kind of web browser. And as always, we’ve selected a great game for you to check out.
Claytab
Claytab wants to help you make more money. It’s like Gary Vaynerchuk always says, “cash is oxygen.” The app literally claims to teach you how to make money, with advice on investing in finance, stock funds, crypto and NFTs, and helpful guides on making money online and starting a business. It’s a video/blog platform, with content from all around the world, so there’s bound to be some type of useful information in there somewhere. But perhaps we should put a disclaimer in here that this is NOT financial advice.
Piece of mind
I continue to believe that not enough people are keeping on top of their mental health, so I like discovering great wellness apps that I can highlight. This one is called Piece of mind, and it helps you track and assess all aspects of your mental health including depression, anxiety, stress and more. You can identify patterns and trends using the Apple Health app, and then share those trends with your doctors. I don’t love having a million paid subscription services, but if it works for you, it will more than justify the cost.
Arc | Mobile Companion
It’s hard to imagine, in 2023, a third-party browser coming in and making noise in the space, but Arc is trying to do just that. It promises to be “your home on the internet,” and it offers a number of forward-thinking features you don’t get on legacy browsers such as Easels, which is a pinup board similar to Pinterest. It looks like you have to sign up for a waiting list to get full access, but the apps are live on both iOS and Mac. Exciting stuff!
Call of Dragons
It was a real toss-up between this game and Brotato: Premium, but seeing as how a free version of Brotato will be out soon, I figured I’d just wait for that. Anyway, Call of Dragons is a new MMO fantasy conquest game from the creators of Rise of Kingdoms. Yes it’s a freemium title packed with in-app purchases, but all of the big-time features are here including a new Behemoth Combat System, rich 3D worlds to navigate, fantastic creatures to fight, upgradeable buildings and skills, and much more. Yes, weekends are for gaming.
