Welcome to another edition of our Apps of the Week roundup. This week we have a handy picture-in-picture utility, a travel guide for hidden wonders and an upcoming productivity app. And as always, we’ve selected some great games for you to check out.
PiPiFire – PiP for YT and IG
Ridiculous name aside, PiPiFire is a handy utility that enables you to multitask while watching YouTube and Instagram videos using your device’s built-in picture-in-picture function. Oh and it serves as a nice workaround for listening to music on YouTube in the background.
Atlas Obscura Travel Guide
Find your adventurous spirit, get off the beaten path and discover unique places near you with Atlas Obscura. This crowd-sourced map features over 22K hidden wonders, hole-in-the-wall bars, and much more. You’re going to want to check this app out before your next trip.
Taskbit: Collaborative tasks
Ugh I hate including apps that haven’t *officially* launched yet, but this just seems so ambitious, it was either point to it or another freemium photo editor. Anyway, Taskbit is a productivity/task app that is absolutely loaded with features. Visit taskbit.io for a free early invite.
Gamebytes – Games for iMessage
Did you know you can play games with others, right in the Messages app on your iPhone? You can with Gamebytes (and yes, there are others). As long as both you and your partner have the app installed, you can play Bowling, Cards, Skeeball, Darts and much more over Messages.
