Last we heard about Physical, a combination comedy drama, Ian Gomez had joined the cast. And today, we finally get a teaser trailer and a release date for the upcoming Apple TV+ series.
Earlier today, Apple TV updated its official YouTube channel to promote the brand new teaser trailer for Physical, which is set to star Rose Byrne (Instant Family) as Sheila Rubin. The aforementioned Gomez is playing a character named Ernie. The series is also set to star Rory Scovel (The House) as Sheila’s husband.
Physical is a dramatic comedy, which Apple describes as “Sheila Rubin (Rose Byrne) is a quietly tormented housewife in ’80s San Diego, who behind closed door battles extreme personal demons and a vicious inner voice. But things change when she discovers aerobics, sparking a journey toward empowerment and success.”
Annie Weisman (Almost Family) is set to serve as showrunner and executive producer on the series. Liza Johnson, Craig Gillespie, and Stephanie Laing are all producing as well, while also directing the series.
Physical is set to premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, June 18, 2021. Do you think you’ll be checking it out?
