Apple Card Preview program emails being sent out to some customers

The Apple Card is going to launch this August. Ahead of the public arrival, though, Apple is opening a preview program.

Apple is launching the Apple Card Preview for some customers. Along with that, the company has also launched a new webpage for the Apple Card itself, outlining the preview and how to sign up for the card. To make it happen, customers will have to have received an email from Apple offering them a spot in the Apple Card Preview program.

The customers that do get the email will be able to apply for the card directly within the Wallet app. For folks who want to apply with the iPad, they can do so through the Settings app, then opening the Wallet & Apple Pay option.

You can apply for Apple Card directly from the Wallet app on your iPhone if you have received an email invitation to the Apple Card Preview.

If you’d like to be notified when Apple Card is available, click here.

Or to apply on your iPad, go to Settings > Wallet & Apple Pay.

Before you start, there are a few things to check.

According to AppleInsider, Apple has indeed already started sending out the emails to a “a very, very small group” of iPhone owners at this point. What that number actually is remains unknown at this time. Nor is it known what kind of criteria Apple is working with to select iPhone customers for the preview program. It’s only happening for customers in the United States.

This feels like the last bit of a pre-launch window for the Apple Card. We know it’s launching in August, but we don’t know what day, exactly.

When the Apple Card does arrive, do you plan on applying?
