Apple has confirmed to Reuters plans to open its first-ever retail store in Taiwan, where most of its suppliers and contract fabricators are located. The Cupertino company stopped short of revealing the exact location for the store, but speculation mounts that it will presumably be found in the capital of Taipei.

Apple was seeking ”a leader for personnel training plans for the Taiwan Apple Store” and other retail positions indicating it was looking for a team in Taiwan, according to job postings dated Friday on Apple’s website. The company confirmed to Reuters it had plans to open the first Apple Store in Taiwan, but provided no other details.

Apple’s revenue in Greater China, which includes Hong Kong and Taiwan, decreased by 26 percent in the June quarter from a year earlier. Hong Kong already has Apple Stores and the iPhone maker currently has 35 outlets in mainland China, with an additional five stories set to open later this year.
