Apple has annonuced new series, films, concerts and more in the Apple Immersive Video format for viewing on the Vision Pro headset.

There’s been criticism about the dearth of immersive videos people seem to enjoy. The custom equipment required to shoot 3D video in 8K with a 180-degree field of view and spatial audio is very expensive, and the whole process is time-consuming.
But Apple was caught using these cameras in the wild before. Now, the company is ready to unleash the next batch of Apple Immersive Video programming.
New Apple Immersive Video content is now available
The Apple Newsroom announcement says that new series, films, documentaries, concerts, sports and more will premiere on Apple Vision Pro beginning July 18. The company even has a patent on immersive video streaming.

The new series “Boundless” premieres today at 6pm. The next installment of the nature documentary series “Wild Life” is scheduled to premiere in August. The travel series “Elevated” arrives in September, and this one’s gonna be a real treat—“Elevated” will whisk you around “iconic vistas from staggering heights.”

How to watch Apple Immersive Video
The videos will appear on the visionOS TV app in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Folks in China can access them via the Migu Video and Tencent Video apps.

On its part, Apple promises that additional series, films, concerts and sports captured in Apple Immersive Video will be released this year.
