J. R. R. Tolkien’s Fellowship of the Ring was brought to the big screen in 2001, to begin the trilogy series that was rediscovered by a new generation through the video format. Now, 25 years later, the story continues to enchant audiences within the high fantasy genre. While national theaters re-release the trilogy series this weekend, we are celebrating with a set of incredible downloads.
Like Middle Earth, the world of Lord of the Rings mobile wallpapers is vast, expansive, and enchanting. Given there are 25 years worth of fan art out there for download, picking just a small slice of that entire collection was very difficult. Middle Earth is an inspiring place, with incredible characters, and picturesque vistas.
Given that Fellowship of the Ring launched just as the Internet because more easily assessable to many, a myriad of digital assets and fan created art flooded forums and repositories.
Personally, my favorite of the set, were saved best for last. The sweeping, long range shots of places like Minas Tirith and the Argonath statues showcase the sprawling nature of Tolkien’s world.
