Hogwarts is in and of itself, arguably its own character in the Harry Potter story. The background upon which all kinds of magical and exciting occurrences play out. It is undeniable the Hogwarts background is incredibly inspiring during the holiday time of the year in the Wizarding World. In the Sorcerer’s Stone film, the school is portrayed as a cozy, fire-lit, evergreen bedecked wonder land. These depictions quickly lock the films into “Christmas movie” watchlists.
Like Hogwarts, the building in Home Alone is also a bit of a character itself. This overlap may be due, in part, to Chris Columbus, who directed both titles!
