PhoneEnhancer 15 gives the iPhone’s Phone app a bevy of highly requested features

Despite the iPhone being a phone, it’s amazing how little of my time on it I actually spend making and taking phone calls. Still, when I do, I find that the Phone app lacking certain features that I think should be there.

PhoneEnhancer 15 examples.

Fortunately, a jailbreak tweak called PhoneEnhancer 15 by iOS developer pixellark addresses many of the Phone app’s shortcomings, and it makes a notable difference in day-to-day use.

One of my favorite features of PhoneEnhancer 15 is how it color codes the incoming and outgoing calls list so that I can immediately ascertain whether a call was incoming, outgoing, or missed. As you can see in the screenshot example above, blue indicates incoming, green indicates outgoing, and red indicates missed calls.

In addition to color-coding the aforementioned list, PhoneEnhancer 15 displays the exact numeric times of those calls. So instead of seeing “1 day ago,” or “22 minutes ago,” the call is actually timestamped with the specific time for my reference.

These features and more are configurable via a dedicated preference pane, shown above, which provides the following options for the Phone app:

  • Enable or disable the Voicemail tab
  • Enable or disable exact timestamps
  • Enable or disable third-party call apps in the call history
  • Respring your device to save any changes you’ve made

Anyone who wants to elevate their jailbroken device’s Phone app with the PhoneEnhancer 15 jailbreak tweak can download it for free from the Havoc repository via their favorite package manager app. The teak supports jailbroken iOS 15 and 16 devices only.
