Dopamine v2.0.4 update to new jailbreak fixes issue with libkrw not working correctly

The Dopamine v2 jailbreak launched yesterday with official support for the Kernel File Descriptor (KFD) exploit with the puaf_landa method and, by extension, the new PPL bypass.

Dopamine v204 update.

Dopamine v2 has already received a number of smaller bug fix updates since its launch, but project lead developer Lars Fröder (@opa334dev) recently dropped another update in the form of version 2.0.4, as first announced in a post shared to X (formerly Twitter) late Friday night.

Citing the change log, Dopamine v2.0.4 appears to be another minor bug fix update that introduces the following fix:

– Actually fix libkrw not working (the 2.0 change log was lying…)

If you’re an existing Dopamine user, then we highly recommend downloading and installing the latest version at your earliest convenience as you will want to be taking advantage of the most stable build of this jailbreak you can.

The same rule of thumb goes for those who haven’t yet used Dopamine and who will be downloading and using the jailbreak for the first time.

The Dopamine v2 jailbreak is a rootless semi-untethered jailbreak that supports all the following iPhone and iPad device and firmware combinations:

  • iOS & iPadOS 15.0-16.6.1 on arm64 (A9 and later chip-equipped devices for now)
  • iOS & iPadOS 15.0-16.5.1 on A12-A14 and M1 chip-equipped devices
  • iOS & iPadOS 15.0-16.5 on A15-A16 and M2 devices

You can acquire the latest version of Dopamine from the jailbreak’s dedicated website or view its source code from the project’s GitHub page.
