Another Sunday, another addition to the iDB Wallpapers of the Week gallery. We aim to highlight graphic artists and photographers by promoting their images as Apple device wallpapers. The purple “Iris Superstition” collection is an original set of images based on natural color schemes.

The Iris Superstition wallpaper collection captures the subtle, fluid, natural motion of gradient colors.
Today’s downloads are by @wallscate. You should follow her for weekly, almost daily, wallpaper downloads for iPhone! I asked Cate what inspired the downloads and she mentioned it was a set of wallpapers for a dear friend that requested the images. The description her friend provided reminded her of an iris flower, which naturally show a beautiful purple gradient.
If you are a regular follower of the iDB Wallpapers of the Week, you will know that I’ve been all-in on purple, ever since the M1 iMac launched in purple, followed by the purple iPhone, and purple Apple Watch bands. I even have a purple painted AirPods Pro set. The Iris Superstition wallpaper is primarily rich, dark purple with contrasting pink gradients.
I really like the bold colors in all four images and the shadowing work in the topographic-looking download, which is reminiscent of the iris petal.
