Taurine updated to version 1.1.7-2 to fix jailbreaking A11 devices running iOS 14.0-14.4

At the start of the week, the Odyssey Team released an updated version of the Taurine jailbreak to add support for iOS & iPadOS 14.4-14.8.1.

But this week, Taurine received another small under-the-radar update in the form of version 1.1.7-2, which was published Wednesday on the project’s GitHub page.

In fact, the update was so under-the-radar that it wasn’t announced in the team’s Discord channel, nor was it published on the Taurine jailbreak website — at least not yet.

Citing the change log for Taurine v1.1.7-2, we can gather that this update fixes a problem where A11 chip-equipped devices running iOS or iPadOS 14.0-14.4 would fail to jailbreak via the kfd exploit.

It’s a minor bug fix update that should only be necessary for A11 device users, but it’s there and ready to be downloaded from the GitHub page regardless of whether you’re using a newer device or not.

To update, you can simply sideload the latest version of the Taurine jailbreak over your existing installation. New users are recommended to use the latest version available, which at this time would be version 1.1.7-2.
