Jumper Lock Screen shortcut customizer tweak adds support for rootless jailbreaks

A few years back, we wrote about a jailbreak tweak called Jumper by iOS developer neoish that not only added configurable app shortcuts to the Lock Screen for ease of access but designed them in such a way that they didn’t add unwanted clutter to the interface because they collapse into a smaller space when not in use.

Jumper was a jailbreak tweak that I took advantage of almost all the time, but since the newer rootless jailbreaks for iOS 15 and 16 became the norm, it’s felt like I’ve been missing out. Fortunately, Jumper was updated to version 3.1.0 on Wednesday, adding official support for rootless jailbreaks such as Dopamine and palera1n.

At first glance, you can customize the existing Quick Action buttons that exist on the Lock Screen right out of the box, which include the Camera and Flashlight shortcuts, so that they point to something else. However one thing I really like about Jumper is that you can have collapsible shortcuts so that you can have shortcuts to up to 8 apps on your Lock Screen at any given time.

Once installed, Jumper adds a dedicated preference pane to the Settings app where you can configure your Jumper shortcuts to your liking. Not only will you be able to select which apps or shortcuts you can access from the Lock Screen, but you will be able to customize the icons that represent them:

There’s absolutely no shortage of jailbreak tweaks on the market that add app shortcuts to your device, but we feel that Jumper does this in such an elegant way, especially on the Lock Screen, that it’s worth taking a look at.

Those interested in giving Jumper a try, especially on their rootless jailbreaks, but also on their rootful jailbreaks, can head over to the Havoc repository and purchase the tweak for $1.99. The latest update is a free upgrade if you already own an older version of Jumper. The tweak works on all versions of iOS ranging from iOS 13 to iOS 16.
