ZAGG launches Apple Pencil 2 competitor called Pro Stylus 2 with wireless charging, 6.5-hour battery, & tilt detection

If you’re a 2018 or newer iPad Pro user, and you’ve been looking for a good alternative to the Apple Pencil 2 to reduce costs, but also don’t want to skimp on quality and features, then a new product from ZAGG called the Pro Stylus 2 should be on your radar.

ZAGG Pro Stylus 2

The new ZAGG Pro Stylus 2 is an active dual-tip stylus that supports wireless charging and comes in five different color options, including:

  • Gray
  • Yellow
  • White
  • Blue
  • Pink

The ZAGG Pro Stylus 2 can be used for a multitude of different things, just like the Apple Pencil 2. Those include writing notes, sketching, marking up documents, swiping through pages, and more.

As we noted earlier, the ZAGG Pro Stylus 2 is a dual-tip stylus. The first tip is pointed and offers precision for drawing uses, while the second tip is rounded and capacitive and better suited for swiping. The pointed tip is where you’d expect it — on the writing end, while the rounded tip is found on the opposite side and also acts as the power button.

In addition to basic stylus features, the ZAGG Pro Stylus 2 supports tilt recognition and palm rejection to enhance the user experience.

Not only can the Pro Stylus 2 magnetically attach to any 2018+ iPad Pro just like the Apple Pencil 2 can, but you can even charge it wirelessly using the included wireless charging cradle or any Qi-enabled wireless charger.

According to ZAGG, users can expect 6.5 hours of use on a single charge, which allows the battery to last a long day of work regardless of how you might be using it. Additionally, all your apps that support the Apple Pencil 2 will support the ZAGG Pro Stylus 2.

If you’re interested in a colorful and utilitarian tool for your 2018+ iPad Pro, then you can pick up one of ZAGG’s new Pro Stylus 2 from the company’s website for $79.99. You can also enjoy free shipping and get up to 20% off your first order by signing up with your email. That’s quite a bit cheaper than Apple Pencil 2.
