Quickly jot down notes directly from the Lock Screen with the new Notes jailbreak tweak

We’ve all been in one of those situations where it would have been so helpful if we could have just jotted something down in a jiffy, but when it comes to making a note, life comes at us fast and often doesn’t wait for us to authenticate ourselves via biometrics or passcode, find the Notes app on our Home Screen, launch it, and then compose a new note.

For this reason, iOS developer SouthernGirlWhoCode is out this week with a new jailbreak tweak called Notes that lets users invoke a note composition interface directly from the Lock Screen of your pwned handset, allowing you to jot down information without all the extraneous steps that are typically required (discussed above) before you can access your iPhone’s native Notes app.

As shown in the demonstration video above, Notes can be invoked from the Lock Screen in just a second, allowing you to save time and get right to the point of typing your notes. This way, you don’t miss a beat and you can keep up with information as it’s being shared with you instead of having to ask people to repeat themselves or missing the important details altogether in instances where repetition isn’t possible.

It’s worth noting that there isn’t a text limit for the note box, which means you can add as much information as you might need to, whether that’s in one sitting or gradually over time. Additionally, you can reposition the floating text box anywhere on your Lock Screen that you might want it, allowing you to move it out of the way of something if needed.

As you might come to expect from a tweak from SoutherGirlWhoCode, the experience is highly customizable. Notes text can be resized, colored, and more to suit your liking.

If you’re interested in giving Notes a try for yourself, then the tweak is available from the developer’s Gumroad page for $2. It’s advertised as supporting jailbroken devices running iOS 14, 15, and 16, including rootless jailbreaks such as Dopamine and palera1n.

Are you planning to use the Notes tweak to jot down information when using the Notes app would otherwise be inconvenient? Let us know in the comments section down below.
