Apple will be celebrating Black History Month in 2023 with a brand new special edition Black Unity Apple Watch strap and a matching Apple Watch face to go along with it.
In an announcement published Wednesday, Apple said that this yearβs Black Unity collection was developed by members of Appleβs Black creative community and that the mosaic design languages celebrate the vibrancy of Black communities and draw heavy inspiration from the power of unity.
The Black Unity Apple Watch strap dons an abstractly woven word βUnityβ and uses the colors of the Pan-African flag including red, green, and black.
On the software side, Apple is offering new Apple Watch Unity challenges in February that can earn users limited-edition awards by closing their rings for one week straight.
Color-matched Apple Watch faces and iPhone wallpapersΒ are will also be available starting with the iOS 16.3 software update coming next week, and will look great whether you purchase a Black Unity Apple Watch strap or not.
If youβre interested in picking up one of Appleβs Black Unity Apple Watch straps, then you can get it from Appleβs website for $49. Apple retail stores will have stock starting Tuesday, January 24th, which is also the projected delivery day for orders.
