Your iPhone can display live data right on the lock screen. Consult this list to find out whether your favorite apps have added support for this new Apple feature in iOS 16.
Real-time information on your lock screen
Live Activities is a new iPhone feature in iOS 16.1 which helps you stay on top of things that are happening in real-time without even opening an app. You simply glance at live data displayed at the bottom of the lock screen or in the Dynamic Island. This could be sports scores as they happen, arrival/delivery updates, etc.
But do your favorite apps support showing real-time data on the lock screen?

How are you liking iOS 16’s Live Activities so far?
More apps will add support for live activities on the lock screen and the Dynamic Island over time. Apple has provided developers with the official Live Activities API so they could implement this functionality in their own apps.
For example, the Starbucks and Lyft apps will gain receiving delivery order updates as live activities. Read: How to unsend iMessage on iPhone, iPad and Mac
Perhaps you didn’t know this, but iOS 16’s Now Playing control is also a live activity. In fact, you can expand Now Playing to fill the whole lock screen by touching the small album artwork (tap it again to get back to the default view).
