Remove the ‘Not Playing’ text from Control Center’s Now Playing widget with this tweak

When you aren’t playing any music, you might notice how Control Center’s Now Playing widget exhibits the text “Not Playing” in the upper half.

Remove the Not Playing text from Control Center with the clear not playing jailbreak tweak.

While the text above intends to advise the user that that there isn’t any media playing, some minimalists would rather go without the reminder. That said, iOS developer Elio Feghali has released a new and free jailbreak tweak dubbed clear not playing that removes this text from the interface.

As depicted in the before (left) and after (right) screenshot examples above, the tweak can make the Control Center interface look cleaner and less cluttered by removing a textual element from an interface that seems to depend mostly on glyphs for user interaction.

With no options to configure, clear not playing fulfills its mission statement immediately after being installed.

If you’re interested in trying clear not playing on your jailbroken device, then you can download it for free from Elio Feghali’s personal repository via your favorite package manager app. Those not already taking advantage of Elio Feghali’s personal repository can add it to their package manager app of choice by using the URL provided below:
