Apple goes ‘In the Dark’ with iPhone 12 to promote Night Mode photography

With the launch of the iPhone 11 lineup, Apple welcomed “Night Mode.” A better way for iPhone users to take great photos in low light situations. Or dark ones for that matter. And today, Apple has shared a new ad promoting the feature in its latest smartphones.

Night Mode is one of the best features in the iPhone lineup to date. And with this ad, Apple is promoting the fact that iPhone 12 users can use it to take selfies, too. Night Mode is available in the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

The ad shows a man taking a variety of different phots with the front-facing camera on the iPhone 12. All in low-light situations. There used to be a time when taking photos like this would have returned pretty awful results. Not so much nowadays.

The ad’s only 30 seconds or so in length. So short and sweet. It also features music by YG called “In the Dark.” Apple’s included text reads, “Now you can take amazing selfies in the dark. Night mode on iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro.”

How do you like Night Mode so far? Have you really taken it for a spin? Or is it a feature that’s in your phone that you haven’t really taken advantage of yet?
