Tablet showdown: iPad Pro vs. Galaxy Tab S7

We’re taking a closer look at two of the best tablets available in the marketplace right now: Apple’s iPad Pro and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S7, both featuring eleven-inch HDR screens based on LCD IPS technology with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The Galaxy Tab S series is Samsung’s high-end tablet line.

The Tab S7, running the Android 10 operating system, has an eleven-inch 2560×1600 screen and replaces the previous 10.5-inch in Samsung lineup. There’s also a new Galaxy Tab S7+ variant with a 12.4-inch display feature a resolution of 2800×1752 pixels.

By comparison, the 11-inch iPad Pro features a resolution of 2388×1668. Its 12.9-inch counterpart rocks a resolution of 2732 x 2048. Both these tablets from Samsung and Apple have 264 pixels per inch like prior models.

Apple’s iPad Pro was refreshed in the spring with a LiDAR Scanner and a faster A12Z chip. The Samsung device released in August 2020. Both offer the best experience in their own regard: the iPad Pro is the best of iOS and the Galaxy Tab S7 is the best of Android tablet experience.
