Apple releases watchOS 7.0.2 with a fix for battery drain and more

Apple is ready to update the latest version of watchOS, aiming to fix an issue related to battery drain.

Apple has released watchOS 7.0.2 to the public. It’s a minor update in the grand scheme of things, keeping the version number relatively low. However, for Apple Watch owners out there running into these issues patched in the software update, it will be a welcomed change.

To update your Apple Watch, you need to make sure that your smartwatch has at least 50% battery, it’s connected to the iPhone, and it’s attached to the wireless charger. To update automatically, have Automatic Updates switched on. If you don’t have this feature on, open the Watch app, open General –> Software Update and follow the onscreen instructions.

This update addresses an issue with battery drain, which would net some users experiencing this issue with some more battery life throughout the day. watchOS 7.0.2 also makes it possible to access the ECG app for some folks who weren’t able to open it.

watchOS 7.0.2 contains improvements and bug fixes, including:
