The SteelSeries Nimbus+ is a new MFi-certified gaming controller with 50 hours of battery life

If you like to play games on your Apple-branded devices, especially ones that benefit from wireless controller support, SteelSeries has a new option for your consideration.

The SteelSeries Nimbus+ Made for iPhone (MFi)-certified gaming controller was just announced today (via The Verge). It will be available from Apple’s online store beginning today, and when it arrives it will retail for $69.99. However, at the time of publication the landing page for the new accessory wasn’t live. SteelSeries will also have the new wireless controller available from its own website beginning Tuesday, May 26.

As far as features go, the new Nimbus+ boasts up to 50 hours of battery life on a single charge. The new gaming controller also features clickable joysticks, and it includes a mount in the box that will allow owners to fit their iPhone directly above the controller. It also includes “Menu” and “Home” buttons. It’s a similar design to the SteelSeries Stratus Duo controller, which is compatible with Android devices.

Of course, it’s a wireless controller so it will work not only with the iPhone, but also the iPad, a Mac, iPod touch, and the Apple TV.

This controller is replacing the original Nimbus.
