The coronavirus and COVID-19, the disease it causes, is disrupting just about every single industry all across the globe, and it has impacted Apple yet again.

Deadline is reporting today that the Apple TV+ drama series The Morning Show, which stars Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, and many others, is going on a two-week hiatus from its regular shooting schedule to address the ever-growing concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic. According to the report, the decision was made in conjunction between Apple and the series production studio, Media Res.

In concert with our dedicated partners at Apple, we have concluded it would be prudent to take a two-week hiatus to assess the situation and ensure the safety of the incredible people who make this show,.” said Michael Ellenberg, Founder and CEO of Media Res.

There is a possibility that this will not negatively impact the planned premiere of the series’ second season, which is expected to arrive later this year. However, if the delay in production extends beyond two weeks it is certainly possible season two sees a delay to its launch.

The novel coronavirus was deemed a pandemic earlier this week by the World Health Organization (WHO). It continues to wreak havoc across the globe.

Just the tip of the iceberg here, as far as Apple is concerned, here’s a brief recap of what’s happened most recently: Yesterday we reported that Apple has instructed its retail employees not to proactively suggest try-ons for the Apple Watch and AirPods for in-store customers. Apple has made the decision to close all of its retail stores in Italy due to the coronavirus outbreak. And in an effort to keep people informed (at least in the United States), Apple has launched a dedicated special coverage section of the coronavirus pandemic in the Apple News app.

There is still speculation that Apple may be considering canceling this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference, which is expected to take place in June of this year. However, Apple has not made any official decisions or announcement in that regard quite yet.
