Colorize your pwned iPhone’s Messages app with Courier

One of the interfaces iPhone users spend most of their time in is the Messages app, and with that in mind, it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that jailbreak tweak developers are creating ways to make customizing the Messages app possible.

With the launch of a new tweak called Courier by iOS developer Sirius24, you can colorize several elements of the Messages app’s user interface just about any way you want. Some examples of the tweak at work are depicted in the screenshot samples above.

Upon installing Courier, users will find a dedicated preference pane in the Settings app where they can configure the tweak to your liking:

Here, you can:

  • Toggle Courier on or off on demand
  • Enable or disable preset color schemes
  • Colorize the Conversation list
  • Colorize the Messaging interface

According to a note at the bottom of the primary preference pane, a Respring isn’t totally necessary to save changes, but restarting the Messages app is. The developer still includes a Respring button anyway, just in case you’re old-fashioned like that.

If you’re interested in customizing your jailbroken device’s Messages app, then you can purchase Courier for $1.49 from the Packix repository in your preferred package manager. The tweak only works with iOS 13 devices.
