You can now engrave an emoji on your AirPods and AirPods Pro charging case

Engraving has been an option to help personalize Apple devices for quite some time, and now the company is spicing up the options.

Apple introduced engraving options for the AirPods lineup — at least for the charging case — since the debut of the second-generation AirPods. But now you can engrave an emoji on your charging case if you so desire. The new option also includes larger text options.

There’s a new banner on the Apple Online Store (first noticed by 9to5Mac) which reads “New personal engraving options, from A to emoji”, signaling some new options for customers who want to engrave their AirPods charging case for some additional customization options.

To reach the engraving part, you’ll need to select the AirPods you want to buy and then choose the “Customize it for free” option you’ll see on the landing page. However, there is a caveat: you can’t just select any emoji you want to have engraved on your charging case. Yes, you can include a unicorn:

However, there is only a select number of options to choose from. According to the original report, Apple has more than 30 options, though, including the most popular options like poop, ghost, cat, fist bump, and more.

The new engraving option is not available in all regions, though. It appears to be available in the United States, Japan, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and a few others. It’s available for the second-generation AirPods and the AirPods Pro.

So who’s getting an emoji engraved on their AirPods charging case? Let us know in the comments.
