This tweak forces the Twitter app to show the ‘Latest’ Tweets at all times

AlwaysLatestTimelineTwitter

Twitter users who use the social network via the official app will notice that it seems to favor “Top” Tweets over “Latest” Tweets in your News Feed. In some cases, it even switches you from Latest to Top without your consent. It’s easy to switch back, but it can be annoying to deal with nonetheless.

I’ve always disliked this about the Twitter mobile app, and for that reason in particular, I’m excited to show you a newly released and free jailbreak tweak dubbed AlwaysLatestTimelineTwitter by iOS developer aesthyrica.

Just as the name implies, AlwaysLatestTimelineTwitter compels the Twitter app to display your News Feed by “Latest” Tweets at all times, but it doesn’t stop there; it takes things a step further by preventing the Twitter app from deviously switching you back to “Top” Tweets when you aren’t looking.

AlwaysLatestTimelineTwitter doesn’t come with any options to configure, and it doesn’t even need any. Once installed, it takes effect immediately and prevents you from ever having to switch your Twitter app’s News Feed to “Latest” ever again.

AlwaysLatestTimelineTwitter was designed to be used with the official Twitter app, and so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that it’s not compatible with third-party apps.

Those who feel the same pains as I do about the app’s frustrating tendency to revert back to “Top” Tweets can download AlwaysLatestTimelineTwitter for free from the Packix repository in Cydia or Sileo. The tweak supports all jailbroken iOS 11 and 12 devices that have the official Twitter app installed.
