Adobe today announced a major overhaul for its Creative Cloud desktop app designed to make managing, installing, deleting and updating your Adobe apps and assets easier than before.
Still accessible via a menu bar icon like the old app, the refreshed software now opens its own dedicated window with a streamlined interface that makes it easy to quickly access capabilities like better search, a new Tutorials hub, libraries and more. Needless to say, installing, deleting and managing your Adobe apps is now way easier than it used to be.
Rich libraries integration means you can now collect, manage and share assets like fonts. Help content, tutorials and asset management features are also now all available in one place.

The refreshed interface allows you to view all your creative assets at a glance — it’s now easier to manage them in a dedicated full-screen view, as well as share your libraries.

While you’ve always been able to access Libraries from within your favorite Creative Cloud apps, Libraries users have been asking us for a full-screen management tool, and we’ve been listening. In the new Creative Cloud desktop, you’ll be able to manage and share assets from your Creative Cloud Libraries right from the desktop app in one intuitive full-screen interface.
You now have built-in search that makes it a cinch to find the right app, tutorial, forum post, stock image or other asset in the cloud. As a heavy user of the Creative Cloud suite, I can tell you right away the new desktop app is light years ahead of the previous drop-down menu bar item which never struck me as particularly native. It’s especially great they’ve finally consolidated all the help resources and tutorials for all apps into the new Tutorials hub.
The updated Creative Cloud desktop app is being released in stages, with Adobe subscribers in France and Germany getting the overhauled software today, followed by Japan on Friday, plus the United States and other territories over the next week.
The Adobe suite is available on a subscription basis.
