Add new features to your App Switcher with XSwitcher

If you’re in search of a way to make your jailbroken iPhone’s App Switcher more useful, then you may want to turn your attention to the likes of a new and free jailbreak tweak dubbed XSwitcher by iOS developer CUNSTUCK.

As shown in the screenshot example above, XSwitcher lets you access various useful shortcuts in the App Switcher by just swiping down on any of your available application preview cards in the App Switcher interface.

Among the shortcuts available through XSwitcher are:

  • Kill all running or suspended applications in one fell swoop
  • Respring your handset
  • Reboot your handset
  • Cancel and close the menu

Out of all these, the one that caught our eye the most was the ability to kill all applications, as many people still like to empty their App Switcher one-by-one. This feature simply lets you do that with a single tap, resulting in less work to accomplish the same task.

Of course, having a shortcut to respring your device never hurts either, especially in the case where a developer of a jailbreak tweak forgets to put a Respring shortcut in a tweak’s preference pane and you’re required to respring to save your changes.

XSwitcher doesn’t come with any options to configure, and so what you see is what you get. If you’re interested in giving XSwitcher a try, then you can download it for free from the BigBoss repository in Cydia or Sileo. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 11 and 12 devices.
