A bold new concept imagines Apple’s rumored AR glasses and how they could be marketed

Apple may be working on an augmented reality headset said to sport dual 8K displayscustom chips and an operating system and other perks, with potential release at the end of 2019.

We don’t know if the rumored headset might look dorkier than Microsoft’s HoloLens or Google Glass (freshly enhanced with improved design, specifications and camera), but I do hope they would resemble this Apple Lens concept painstakingly created by Antonio De Rosa.

Not sure about a red Apple Lens. But those red AirPods are at the top on my wish list!

Antonio has envisioned a head-worn digital device with a strong focus on fashion like the original Apple Watch. It would be powered by an Apple A13 processor, use graphite batteries as well as include a pair of high-resolution screens, a bunch of built-in motion sensors and more.

They look kind of bulky, no. We know, we’re nit-picking.

Augmented reality glasses, as opposed to virtual reality ones like the PlayStation VR headset, are about being aware of your surroundings at all times. Whereas virtual reality completely replaces your reality with 3D worlds, augmented reality superimposes computer imagery on top of the real world, as viewed through your iPhone’s camera or some sort of digital glasses.

Feast your eyes on additional renderings further below, they’re truly gorgeous.

Looks better than Google Glass, in my opinion.

But that’s not all—De Rosa even mocked up an imaginary Apple webpage with marketing copy and other sections depicting promoting the Lens the way Apple supposedly would.

Clearly a lot of work has gone into the creation of this concept.

Some really cool work there, be sure to have a look at adr-studio.it/lens.

How do you like the ideas behind De Rosa’s concept?
