Apple’s likely to announce a new round of iPad Pro models in the coming weeks. The latest leak concerning the tablets says at least one of the models could measure just 5.9mm in thickness. Additionally, the tablets are expected to ship without a headphone jack.

According to leaker CoinCoin posting on Twitter, “Of course no headphone jack on the upcoming new iPad. 5.9mm thickness is pretty good though.” The 2017 10.5-inch iPad Pro is 6.1mm in thickness. MacRumors notes CoinCoin had previously offered accurate details about the iPhone XS and iPhone XR before they were announced, which suggests the latest leak is accurate.

Earlier this week, SlashLeaks said at least one of the new iPad Pro models would be 5.86mm in thickness.

News about the 2018 iPad Pro lineup is picking up speed ahead of a likely Apple special event before the end of the month. Apple’s expected to release two new iPad Pros this year, including a first-generation 11-inch model and third-generation 12.9-inch model. Both are expected to feature a nearly bezel-less design with Face ID, not Touch ID.

On Thursday, a Chinese filing leaked showing likely model numbers for the new tablets, and one perhaps for the second-generation Apple Pencil. Meanwhile, earlier today, we noted the 2018 iPad Pro models will likely include an “A12X Bionic” processor.

Apple iPads typically feature “X”-branded, enhanced chips that are modified versions of the ones found on iPhones. This year’s iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR have an A12 Bionic processor.

We’ll continue to follow this story and let you know when Apple announces its iPad Pro event.
