OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 beta 6 now available

OS X 10.11.4 beta 6 update

In addition to releasing new betas of the forthcoming iOS 9.3 and watchOS 2.2 software updates, Apple on Monday seededĀ a sixth beta of OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 (build number 15E61b) to members of the Apple DeveloperĀ and Apple Beta Software program.

The new beta is available through the Updates tab in the Mac App Store on Macs with a prior El Capitan beta installed while a standalone installer will appear shortly on Apple’s portal for developers.

We will update the article with any changes spotted in OS X 10.11.4 beta 6.

The OS X 10.11.4 software update will introduce new features like support for Verizon Wi-Fi Calling, Live Photos in the Messages app, a password-protected Notes, a fix for the frustrating Twitter link bug in Safari and more.

Apple is expected to host a media event on March 21 that should serve as a launchpad for a new four-inch iPhone SE, a 9.7-inch variant of the iPad Pro and new watch bands.

If Apple’s past media events are anything to go by, the upcoming software updatesā€”iOS 9.3, OS X El Capitan 10.11.4, tvOS OS 9.2 and watchOS 2.2ā€”should release shortly after the event has wrapped up.
