After several months of testing with iOS users randomly selected, the YouTube app received a major redesign today, including a new logo, bringing the overall look in line with its Android counterpart. The app is now divided into three main content areas which can be accessed via a swipe gesture: Home, Subscription, and Account.
The Home tab shows a list of videos that are suggested for you based on your YouTube history. The subscription tab shows videos from channels you are subscribed to. Finally, the Account tab shows your videos, playlists, etc.
On top of the new design direction, this update also brings new in-app editing tools.

The update is still propagating through the App Store so it might not be immediately available to you.
What do you think of this new design? Yay or nay?
Thanks Matthew for the heads up!
