Apple Design Award-winning games Blek, Monument Valley and Threes on sale

Apple 2014 Design Awards

Good news gamers! It appears that there are multiple sales going on right now for iOS games that won an Apple Design Award this summer. Blek, Monument Valley and Threes! have all been discounted for a limited time.

For those unfamiliar with the titles, Blek is an addictive title that sees players draw paths to hit objects without crashing. Monument Valley is an Escher-inspired puzzle game, and I believe most folks have heard of Threes!.

Here’s a quick overview of each game, and their accompanying trailers:

Blek is a unique game about imagination and personality – “Perfect representation of touch-screen play” (The New York Times). Everything you draw keeps moving – and watching your creations move is like watching magic.

The goal is simple: shape a line that collects all colored circles avoiding black holes on its route. There are no specific moves that you need to master. To every level countless solutions exist, from delightfully simple to exceptionally deep and complex, yet always elegant.

In Monument Valley you will manipulate impossible architecture and guide a silent princess through a stunningly beautiful world.

Monument Valley is a surreal exploration through fantastical architecture and impossible geometry. Guide the silent princess Ida through mysterious monuments, uncovering hidden paths, unfolding optical illusions and outsmarting the enigmatic Crow People.

Threes is a tiny puzzle that grows on you.

– Endless challenge from one simple game mode
– An endearing cast of characters
– A heart-warming soundtrack
– No IAP – Threes is a complete experience the moment you download it

If you’re interested, you can find Blek in the App Store here for $0.99 (normally $2.99), Monument Valley here for $1.99 (normally $3.99) and Threes! here for $0.99 (normally $1.99)—although it’s free at Starbucks right now.
