Want to know more about the iTweak Store? Read our exclusive interview

Your one and only option for installing jailbreak applications on your iDevice these days is Cydia. It has been the undisputed installer of choice for several years now, and even if a few others – Rock, Icy – tried to make a name for themselves, Cydia has always prevailed.

We're so accustomed to Cydia that every time we hear about a potential new alternative, we get defensive very quickly. Change and competition are great, but the comfort of a househould name like Cydia is hard to break. But that's exactly what the iTweak Store aims to do.

Surfaced a couple days ago, the iTweak Store presents itself as a web based alternative to Cydia. We sat down with Kyle Pierre, one of the developers behind iTweak, to learn more about what their project is all about and why we should be on the look out for them...

AT&T responds to complaints, ups throttling limit to 3GB

AT&T has been under a lot of scrutiny lately due to its new data throttling practices. Last Fall, the carrier started significantly reducing the data speeds of its unlimited customers who were using more than 2GB a month.

The move prompted multiple complaints from subscribers, and even sparked a string of small claims court lawsuits. Well apparently all of the heat was too much for the carrier, as it appears it has just revamped its throttling policy...

In the old days this used to take a little legwork, i.e. reading the newspaper, going to the post office, etc. With the smartphone boom, though, currency conversion is often right at your fingertips.

As is the case with this new jailbreak widget, entitled Currency Convertor. It's a widget that conveniently sits in iOS 5's Notification Center for easy access...

Rumor: Apple still planning on releasing 7.85-inch iPad later this year

It looks like the fact that Apple's iPad 3 event is less than a week away wasn't enough to deter rumors of a smaller iPad coming in late 2012. We've been hearing about this "iPad mini" for what seems like much more than a year now.

The latest report comes from DigiTimes, who by the way appears to be rather busy this morning. The news outlet is claiming that Apple is looking to start mass production of a 7.85" iPad sometime in the third quarter of this year...

Rumor: Apple to launch cheaper 8GB iPad 2 alongside iPad 3

While we feel like we know just about everything there is to know about the iPad 3, what about the other tablet Apple is launching? That's right, the rumor mill is suggesting that we'll see two new tablets out of Cupertino this month.

This particular piece of gossip comes from DigiTimes. And while the publication doesn't have the best track record when it comes to Apple information, this tidbit actually sounds fairly plausible...
